Yamaha YFZ450 Build - Part 12 - Engine (Motor) Install (Installation), Assemble (Assembly) - In this video we will begin by splitting the engine (motor) crankcases, removing the transmission & oil strainer, then cleaning everything. Then we will begin assembly by first pulling in the brand new OEM Yamaha crankshaft using the Tusk Crank Case Splitter/Separator / Tusk Crank Puller. Next we will install the complete transmission, main axle, drive axle (countershaft), pinion gear wheels, shift cam (drum), shift forks. Finally we will be sealing the crankcase halves together (mating) using a coat of Yamabond 4 Motorsport (high temperature liquid gasket) on the surfaces and torqued to proper specs after the oil pass through dowel and o-ring installation. We accomplished this by inserting & torqueing all the bolts, and adding electrical components, brackets, clips, springs, bearings, rubber caps, snap rings, circlips, o rings, Delrin bushings, collars, cotter pins and by using loctite (thread locker) red 271 and blue & anti-seize copper.
