Soap opera and Broadway fans alike are in for a real treat with the latest casting for the hit production of "Mamma Mia!" As The World Turns Eric William Morris (ex- Matt O'Connor) and Guiding Lights David Andrew Macdonald (Edmund Winslow) will be joining the new cast, including Beth Leavel as Donna Sheridan, John Dossett as Sam Carmichael and roles for Patrick Boll, Alyse Alan Louis as well! More shake-ups are afoot for the ATWT writing team. Veteran actress-turned-writer Courtney Simon has reportedly been let go in favor of Josh Griffith.

That is something that ATWT really need to improve. Also, Griffith when he was a writer for ATWT penned scripts for Van Hansis Luke, and wrote his coming out scene to Will. (Thanks to RogerD)

European fans are about to get something rare a fan event featuring some of their favorite characters. Luke and Noah (Jake Silbermann and Van Hansis) will be having their first fan event in Europe this fall. The ATWT stars will be traveling to Paris on October 17, 2009 to meet with fans from all over the continent. Proceeds from this event will go to benefit the European Region of the International Lesbian and Gay Association, a group that works for human rights and equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people at the European level.
