Tiger Sighting Confirmed in Dhenkanal: Footprints Found in Anantapur Reserve Forest

A tiger has been confirmed in Dhenkanal, with the DFO explicitly stating its presence in the Anantapur Reserve Forest. Tiger footprints were discovered this morning in the Muktaposhi section of the Reserve Forest. However, it is yet to be clarified whether these belong to a tiger or a Royal Bengal Tiger (Mahabala). Panic has spread in Kadabasant village, under the Kamakhyanagar Western Range's Muktaposhi Forest Section, after a cow was dragged into the jungle by a tiger. Just two days prior, a similar incident occurred in Madarangamunda village, Mahabirod Range, where a cow was attacked. Upon receiving information from villagers, Mahabirod Ranger and forest personnel located the tiger's footprints and are monitoring its movements. The tiger has reportedly moved from the Mahabirod Range and is now causing alarm in Kadabasant village within the Kamakhyanagar Western Range.
