Here's our version of a beautiful German song that was a big hit for NICOLE, who also won the Eurovision Song Contest singing 'A Little Peace' back in the 80's a little after she released this song. This style reminds me a lot of 'The Seekers' and the way they could put a song over......As we sing it in German here is a brief explanation regarding the lyrics......It tells a story about a man sat by a river near a tree where he sees a bird some way up. He tells the bird not to fly too high where it just might be too dangerous. He tells the bird that he climbed too high in past and it didn't work out for him in the long run. The man then finds himself in the city and sadly comes across a dead bird and wonders if it was the one he had seen in the tree who just might have flown too high.......
