The first day of a fifteen day trip from Higashiosaka south from Kansai to Shikoku to Chugoku, Kyushu, and north through Chibu, Tohoku, Kanto and back.
This portion is from Tsukimiyama at the Suma Toll Gate to Akashi Kaikyo Bridge connecting Kobe on Honshu Island with Awaji Island and is part of the Kobe-Awaji-Naruto Expressway. When finished in 1998, it was the world’s longest suspension bridge by central span until surpassed in 2022.
