This Ottaway steam locomotive was built in 1947 by the Ottaway Amusement Company in Wichita Kansas. Most of the roughly 100 Ottaway locomotives were of the 4-4-0 wheel arrangement, however 2 of the 4-6-0 wheel arrangements were also produced. The train travels on a 12 inch gauge track, and was used in the early days of Joyland amusement park. A typical package consisted of the following: Engine, Tender, 3 Coaches (one was an observation car), 320 feet of Welded Tie, Steel track, Canvas covers, all for $3000
