I cover everything you need to complete this fiddly oil service job on the 3L TDI, including the tools and parts you'll need, how to raise and lock the air suspension into service mode, the correct oil specification for the 3.0 TDI (Porsche C30 low-ash 5W-30), torque settings for both the sump plug and oil filter housing, and some key tips for installing the new oil filter properly. One of the most important details is the unusual sump plug washer — I explain exactly why using the correct type is essential to avoid post-service oil leaks.
