When I started taking more videos and less photos, I started using a Sony A7c and started to purchase Sony lenses. I realized the Canon 5d3 was collecting dust in my closet, along with a 70-200 2.8Lmk2, 100-400 4.5L mk2 and 24-70 2.8L mk2 and a few other less expensive lenses. I figured it was time to sell the lenses, so I debated between trying to sell them on Ebay vs getting quotes from the largest camera equipment buyers/sellers on the internet.
This is my story of how both companies that I sent my lenses to downgraded my like new lenses. Of course they realize its not worth my time and $75 to argue with them and I would bet that they downgrade 100 percent of the lenses they receive. This video represents my opinion of the process of selling your photographic equipment.
