Ken "Professor" Philmore is an extraordinary pianist hailing from the vibrant South of Trinidad! He kicked off his musical journey with Hatters, then made waves with Kalomo Kings in 1977, before dazzling audiences with Gay Hoytonians, and finally finding his home with Fonclaire Steel Orchestra in 1981. Now recognized as a musical legend in his homeland, the US, and Europe, the 'Professor' received the prestigious title of most outstanding musical arranger from Pan Trinbago in 1989. In New York, he was celebrated with a special award for his musical contributions by the iconic Mayor Koch. After triumphs in Los Angeles and countless standing ovations at Madison Square Garden, he was invited by Mercer Ellington to tour Europe and North America with the illustrious Duke Ellington Orchestra. Ken shone as the featured soloist on the album "Music is My Mistress" with the hit "Queenie Pie Reggae." His electrifying live performances have captivated audiences at events like the Washington DC Pan Jazz Festival, St. Croix Jazz Festival, Atlanta Jazz Festival, Barbados Jazz Festivals, Tobago Jazz Festivals, Guyana Music Festival, Boston Symphony Hall, and the unforgettable August 2012 Joy Of Jazz Festival in South Africa!
