The United States has been one of the largest sources of foreign direct investment in Pakistan, as well as Pakistan’s largest export market. From investment and trade to counterterrorism and energy, the two countries partner on key global issues and maintain close bilateral relations. Yet, as the coronavirus pandemic upends the global economy, sending ripple effects across every sector, both countries are looking for ways to better collaborate.
