Fantasy has always been one of my favorite genres. Both in anime and in general. Stories of Knights in shining armor have always captured my imagination as a kid honestly kinda made me into the nerd that I am today. But with the rise of isekai and cheap fantasy stories, Anime to me seemed to always struggled to write compelling fantasy romps and worlds - that was until Frieren and Dungeon Meshi which proved me completely wrong.

So in this video I explore what these two fantasy anime did that makes them so unique and see what exactly they do that make them "good fantasy"
