Traditionally, Brunton would like to do the balancing in-house. If you have warranty and want to keep it, we advise to send your compass to Brunton for any sort of servicing.

However, we recognise there are instances where servicing by Brunton or the retailer you brought it from is counterproductive, or just not possible at the moment. This video was inspired by a customer who got his Brunton in the US and then came home to Australia, and of course his Brunton was not working as it should. In his case, he had to ship it back to the US and wait for weeks to use his Brunton again. If and when this happens to you, especially when you find yourself in a different part of the world, this is a video to help you adjust your compass on your own.
