Rave FM were first heard in 1990, broadcasting Rave music to Nottingham on 101.7 FM. They broadcast from flats in Radford and also the Lenton area of Nottingham, amongst other places.

In 1992 the owner of Rave FM changed the name to Touch FM and tried to get a license to broadcast legally.

This never happened, and Touch FM had gone by 1993, although various one off broadcasts were done under the Rave FM and Touch FM names later in the 1990s.

There is a Rave FM Facebook group which includes many of the old DJ’s & MC’s, so if you have any questions or if you’ve lost contact with any old skool Notts ravers, if may be worth a look.
