Rwezururu king Mumbere visits Bundibugyo

The Rwenzururu King, Charles Wesley Mumbere was given a grand reception by his subjects in Bundibugyo as he began a three-day tour of the district.
Omusinga Mumbere along with the cultural head of the Obudingiya Bwa Bwamba - Martin Kamya - then headed for thanksgiving prayers at the Bumadu Church of Uganda.
The Retired Bishop of South Rwenzori Diocese, Zebedee Masereka, criticized people who promote ethnicity in order to foment tribal clashes.
Officials from both cultural institutions hailed the event as a new dawn that marked the beginning of cooperation between the two communities that have for long been at loggerheads.
