HOW we saw Northern Lights 💫 | Fjords | Sami Village | Tromso, Norway Vlog

Our dreamy girls trip to Norway was everything we hoped for and more! After exploring the Netherlands, we flew into the Arctic Circle for 4 magical days in Tromsø, filled with snowy adventures, home-cooked meals, fjords, reindeer farms, and a heart-stopping Northern Lights chase. This vlog is the perfect guide for anyone planning a winter Norway trip – and it’s full of laughter, travel fails, and unforgettable moments.

🌨️ Day 1 – Arrival in Tromsø
• Landed at Tromsø Airport — everything covered in snowy white magic
• Checked into our cosy Airbnb (we cooked every meal ourselves!)
• Played in the snow, cooked pasta & garlic bread, and settled in

🏙️ Day 2 – Tromsø City & Fjord Day
• Visited Tromsø City Centre & Europe’s tiniest bar 🍻
• Took a day bus pass to explore nearby areas
• Discovered the beautiful Ersfjordbotn fjord with a hidden waterfall 🌊 (thank you Google Maps!)
• Returned to make dinner and chill at home

🌅 Day 3 – Northern Lights FAIL + Arctic Port Views
• Made breakfast and visited Tromsø’s arctic port area
• Spotted wild swimmers in freezing water 🥶
• Saw a pink sunset sky 💖
• Got READY for our first Northern Lights chase… but it got cancelled last minute 😢
• Quickly rebooked a new (expensive) tour that took us to a remote campsite with soup & dessert… but the lights were faint and underwhelming

🦌 Day 4 – Reindeer Farm & Epic Aurora Night
• Visited a Sami Village for an unforgettable reindeer experience 🦌
• Wore thermal gear, fed the reindeer, danced with Sami locals, and tried reindeer meat for the first time!
• Our second and final Northern Lights chase turned out to be a dream come true — we saw strong aurora borealis activity, and it was STUNNING 🌌
