THE FAILURE THAT COST BMW $27 MILLION! 2014 328i N20 2.0L Engine Is DEAD And Here's Why

Today we tear into BMW's infamous 2.0L "N20" 4cylinder engine. These engines can be found in the 320i, 328i, X1, X3, and the 528i amongst several others. This is a core engine, purchased for the purpose of parting out. As with most core engines, I never know what's wrong until it gets torn down, which is the purpose of the video.
The N20 is an engine that came out in 2012 to replace the outgoing N52 inline 6. Many people regard the N20 as inferior for a multitude of reasons, but the biggest being its propensity for expensive repairs and failures.
Why am I doing this? My name is Eric and I own Importapart. A full service auto dismantler. Part of our model includes dismantling blown up, failed and otherwise bad engines to salvage the good parts. We do not rebuild engines, merely supply parts to those who do!
