Why Lidia Feels So Linear, and How to Counter Sidestep in Tekken 8

The problem with Lidia's is that her design is actually too good. Lidia is a character that actually plays and functions like a normal Tekken character, unlike most Tekken 8 characters that are filled with bugs and break the rules of the game. This extends to Lidia's tracking, where hers behaves normally in a game where most characters have moves that are tracking 180 degrees for seemingly no reason. While I believe this is good character design and should become the norm, it's undeniable that it creates a major weakness that is frustrating to deal with. In this video, I'm going to share techniques and ideas to minimize the degree to which you get sidestepped when playing Lidia, and Tekken in general.
