The British Forces' long goodbye to its Rheindahlen base in Germany is almost over.
The facility - also known as JHQ and once Britain's most important overseas military headquarters - has been gradually scaling back since the early 1990's.
Now the garrison's last personnel are about to leave and the official farewell events that will continue into next week have begun.
