inspired by Funny or Die's series " A very Special Episode"
I take a look at "The Hitchhikers", a two part very special episode of 'Different Strokes', where Arnold and Kimberly go shopping and don't have money for a cab and end of getting kidnapped instead. Though the episode is supposed to be a message about the dangers of hitchhiking, no real safety information is give in the episode. The audience is never told what they should do in a situation like this. The adults in the episode provide no real advice to kids, and for some reason hypnotizing a child is introduced as a method to help finding someone, which makes no sense in the real world.
