In this video, we will show you how to check your Large Drive Unit equipped Tesla Model S for internal coolant leakage. It is extremely important to check for coolant leakage at least once per year to ensure your drive unit remains in good working order. It's best to catch any leakage early before it renders the car undriveable and/or destroys the drive unit!
This is a relatively simple procedure that can be performed with basic hand tools. All that you will need is:
1. A way to lift the car high enough that you can get under it.
2. A ratchet and 10mm socket (as well as possibly an 8mm socket).
3. A flat-head screwdriver or other clip removal tool.
Additionally, you can bring your car to our shop in beautiful Vista California for a free speed sensor check! Just make sure to contact us ahead of time to make an appointment.
