FINALLY Adding More Power To My GT-R!!

These two parts alone gave my GT-R an awesome increase in sound and performance! Pair these with a Cobb Tuner and a custom tune from AAM Competition and you will have a sick setup for your GT-R!! Today I install a set of the AAM Competition 3 inch cold air intakes for my Nissan GT-R! Running 3in intakes for the GT-R will throw a check engine light since OEM diameter is 2.75 inches. So working with AAM Competition and using the Cobb Access Port, I downloaded the new stage 2 tune for the car! Right off the back I installed the Off The Shelf Stage 2 tune map right from Cobb Tuning. The car pulls insainly quick!!

I love the custom black powder coating AAM did on the new intakes! It matches nicely to how I want my engine bay to look. I did have to remove part of the GTR front bumper to install the larger K&N air filters, but that really wasn't too hard. Overall installation is very simple. Just take the intercooler pipes off first for better access.

I honestly was blown away with this serious upgrade in performance. When a GT-R breaks traction in 2nd gear, you know its fast! Since then I now have AAM's stage 2 tune running on my car. Their tune has been data logged and is a bit more aggressive than the off the shelve map. The GT-R pulls so fast on the highway now. It's amazing how even in 4th and 5th gear, the GTR throws you back in the seat and can accelerate way past 100mph without even thinking. Not that I would know..
My car should be putting out mid 500 HP at the wheels which is about 150 over stock.

I can't image how the car will perform with the Armytrix downpipes, 1000cc fuel injectors and the full stage 3 tune! The Armytrix exhaust on the GTR already sounds amazing, and actually sounds a bit louder with the stage 2 setup. Full stage 3 will be super loud, spit flames, and be around 600WHP.
