Ruben Palomares, A former LAPD officer of the Rampart C.R.A.S.H tells us his version of real life Training Day film played by Denzel Washington . From trafficking drugs to corruption, Ruben shares his story and how has made amends in his new life.

🚔 Former LAPD officer Ruben shares his experience working in the undercover narcotics unit and how he got into law enforcement in the first place. He also recounts a harrowing incident where he was robbed at gunpoint while working undercover, and how he managed to turn the tables on his attackers.

🥊 Ruben grew up in a rough part of Los Angeles and found a love for boxing and martial arts. He was training to pursue the Olympics before injury led him to join the LAPD instead.
🏫 Ruben was selected to work in the high school buy program, where he had to go undercover as a student to investigate drug activity. He recounts his experiences buying drugs from other students and being robbed at gunpoint during one transaction.
🔫 During the robbery, Ruben managed to grab the attacker’s gun and turn it on him. He and the attacker struggled for control of the gun while the attacker’s accomplice kicked Ruben. Eventually, the assailant managed to get the gun back and fled the scene.
🚨 Ruben explains the difficulties of working in law enforcement in Los Angeles during the 80s and 90s, when gang violence was rampant. He also talks about the unique challenges of working undercover and the emotional toll it can take on officers.
🙏 Despite the dangers he faced on the job, Ruben remains committed to his belief that being a police officer can make a positive difference in the community. He encourages young people who are interested in law enforcement to pursue their dreams, but also acknowledges the need for reform and accountability within the profession.
