Now celebrating our twelfth season, Ensemble Iberica's musical programming and international collaborations are led by Artistic Director Beau Bledsoe, a classically trained guitarist who performs and records classical, jazz, and folkloric music worldwide. Core Ensemble members include accomplished Turkish cellist Ezgi Karakus; former Kansas City Symphony principal violist Christine Grossman; award-winning Bolivian multi-instrumentalist Amado Espinoza; multi-genre percussionist John Currey; flamenco dancer Melinda Hedgecorth; Brazilian vocalist Bruno Bessa; and Mexican vocalist Fedra Cooper Barrera. All of our core musicians have had extensive experience with the traditions we perform, including jazz, classical, and folk, acting as cultural ambassadors while maintaining the highest level of artistry and mastery.


Under the leadership of Executive Director Erin McGrane and Board President Shelly Rodrigues, Ensemble Iberica experienced significant growth and stabilization in 2024. Plans for 2025 include expanded educational programming for adults, increased community partnerships, further restructuring and organizational stabilzation, and a focus on deepening our impact.
