Three years later… and one of my dreams came through! In 2018 I started vlogging about windsurfing during my participation at the marathon tournament Le Defi / Defiwind. You may say that Defiwind is for windsurfers, what Dakar is to motorsporters. I had various reasons why I started vlogging. One reason strongly motivates me: passionately supporting and inspiring women’s windsurfing! Why women’s windsurfing? I want to inspire:
girls and women to achieve their dreams in a manly dominated environment
to have a better balance of valuing women and men in topsport and business
to live a healthy lifestyle by exercising and taking care of our bodies and souls
women to believe in their so necessary contribution to a better world
to have fun together and feel strong when practicing a power sport
to look for new ways of sponsoring, donations and financial support
to innovate and design gear for women, not only for guys
I am so pleased and honoured to let you know that one of my dreams has come true. This weekend I received a new model windsurfing fin that is specially designed for bodies like mine. You may not know it, but almost all of the windsurfing gear is designed by and for men - for strong and heavy bodies. I find this a great development!!
