PM Modi flagged off the 20.8 km long corridor of the Ahmedabad Metro Rail Project Phase II from Sector-1 Station in the state capital. Following the flag-off, the Prime Minister travelled on board the train. The Ahmedabad Metro Rail Project Phase II extends the North-South Metro Corridor of Phase I. It includes a mainline that runs from APMC to Motera, extending to Mahatma Mandir, and a branch line that starts at GNLU and ends at GIFT City. This project features an 8 km corridor with 8 stations, including the opening of a 15.4 km viaduct from Motera to Sector 1 and 6 stations. The total cost of the project is ₹3,284 crores.
