From a recent zoom call ... all black because we both had our cameras off. My student Abdurrahman shared some kind words at the end of a call, just speaking from his heart after we had completed a 1on1 reading session. I asked him I could share this as motivation and encouragement for you all. Because too many people say they want to recite beautifully or learn maqamat but don't take that first step to get started.
