So 2 weeks and 1,100 miles of family and business use has put my new Tesla Model Y Long Range to the ultimate test! It hasn't had an easy time of things but how has it coped and what do I think of it?
I have a couple of suggestions for ways Tesla can improve pre-delivery process but otherwise it's a pretty darned near-perfect family car. It's just the right size; big but not too big. Very practical. We've completed a family trip to Devon already. The cabin is excellent and just check out how much stuff can be put into the vast centre console!
I've also tested it for long term efficiency including dad duties like school run drop-offs, going to dance classes, commuting to work plus work trips to London and Cornwall.
Plus i talk about why it's not really an SUV, or a crossover, but it's just ergonomic!
Overall I love it. Arguably the best family EV / electric vehicle out there, well as long as the budget can stretch this far because it isn't cheap. But i will have a little moan about a few little bits along the way. In fact, lets get them out of the way first!
