This is a test flight with the RQ-7 from Legend Hobby, flying a #HRB 16000mAh 25c 6’s pack. After flying the RQ-7 for approximately 15min. and checking voltage, we were down in pack to 85% , which leads us to believe with throttle management, you could be getting up to approximately 1hr. of flight time with this plane. The RQ-7 doesn’t even seem to mind the 4.22lb. pack, nor does it hinder the flight characteristics of this great flying plane, designed primarily as a drone for the for the military in the scale version. RQ-7 SHADOW HISTORY:
The RQ-7 Shadow is an American unmanned aerial vehicle used by the United States Army, Australian Army, Swedish Army, Turkish Air Force and Italian Army for reconnaissance, surveillance, target acquisition and battle damage assessment. The proven RQ-7B program has a distinguished record with over 1.3 million flight hours, 85% being in combat. It has supported the warfighter in some of the most strenuous operational and challenging environmental conditions.

Over 500 RQ-7 Shadows are in operational use throughout the world carrying electro-optic/infrared imaging sensors and having a range of over 62 mile and a 4-hour on-target loiter time. The Shadow UAV is also capable of landing on a sports field. Our RQ-7 Shadow can't offer a 4 hour duration or a 62 mile range, but it is certainly a fantastic FPV platform with all of the highly practical features of the full size Shadow including the aerodynamically proven inverted V-tail, twin boom layout, center-mounted pusher motor, fixed tricycle undercarriage and the huge central nacelle giving a clear view for your cameras and sensors. For the scale enthusiasts among us the kit builds into quite an accurate representation of the full-size Shadow and at 83" wingspan! The kit features a full set of components, laser cut from highest quality balsa and ply to make construction as fast, accurate and enjoyable as possible.
