University of Pretoria 2025 Food Pack-a-Thon | UP Giving Month Highlights

On 30 July 2025, the University of Pretoria (UP) community came together for a Food Pack-a-Thon in support of UP’s Student Nutrition and Progress Programme (SNAPP) and the Vice-Chancellor and Principal’s Scholarship Fund. The Food Pack-a-Thon was the flagship event for UP Giving Month, which takes place annually in July. UP students, staff, alumni, and partners donated non-perishable food to help students facing food insecurity, and joined hands to sort the donations and pack hundreds of food parcels for students.
