This was my first time flying at the Craigieburns and it definitely didn't disappoint!
Strong southerly wind up high meant conditions were pretty rough in places but the strong lift and convergence over the ridge made for some truly spectacular views. I was very glad to be able to share them with my friend James, who's been tirelessly trying to get me to the Craigies all summer, only to be constantly thwarted by my work schedule - I'm so glad we finally made it!
This will probably be my last thermalling/mountain flight in NZ for the foreseeable future, as I leave for Europe in just over a month. I'm very happy to have ended my NZ season on a high note (ba dum chhh).
