[VGM] A Dance Of Darkness And Light (Boss Battle)

A song made in FL studio using drums (THE AMEN BREAK), flute, horns, violins and violas, piano with some modified sounds, acoustic and electric guitars, synths, bass, and more drums.

I think I might've gone a bit too hard on the thumbnail lmao.
Welcome back everyone, to the last of the videogame music things I made, this one is, of course, a final boss theme.

As this would be the final boss to a game or smth, the final destiny of the world is upon your shoulders. Every breath, every decision, every moment could be your last, and the world's last. You harness every bit of power you can gather as you face imposible odds, and a foe of inmense power, alas, you're the only hope left. Shall you emerge victorious, the universe will rest easy as the evil is banished, shall you be defeated, everything will be lost and enveloped in darkness. You steel your nerves and begin the fight, a dance of darkness and light.

So, this song is a combination of many things and techniques used in videogame music. At the beginning you have your normal sweet linear music, as it could be in a sort of cinematic while the boss emerges. Then it goes into a loop (nothing except the last part loops in this video cuz it'd make it stupidly long) where the boss does its "standard" attacks, nothing too fancy just yet. Then let's say the boss' health decreases to about 80% or 75% and it chooses an element or class, kinda like the Soul of Cinder in Dark Souls III. This changes it's moveset and the music playing, in this case I represented each theme with the alchemical symbols for air, earth, water, and fire. This uses the branching technique as all the themes can flow seemlessly in any order you place them, so technically these 4 themes could be repeated endlessly and in any order without sounding strange.
Next up, we have a transition to 2nd phase, either at low health or once you deplete the boss' healthbar and a new one pops up. This changes the tempo from 165 to 200 BPM to up the intensity, this is the final rush that goes into a simple loop that is repeated until the boss is truly defeated. And then you get a nice little piano outro to the song.

Also yeah I was gonna add this in subtitles but couldn't quickly figure out how and I gotta leave pretty soon: Based on the fire effects I added, can you tell I've been playing Terraria Calamity and fighting Nameless Deity?? Lmao, holy crap that's an intense fight.

And yeah, this concludes the special uploads matathon (unless I'm able to complete a certain other song :v) hope y'all liked the songs and the editing, it was pretty fun but now I most focus on uni again...maybe.
