For 10 years the Illinois Railway Museum has hosted Bus Day where you can ride vintage buses in the museum's collection. On September 27, 2025 the museum brought out 10 of their buses from the trolley coach electric powered buses to the gas and diesel powered buses from the past! Most of these historic buses like 9631 are one of a few Chicago buses that ran when the city was filled with overhead powered trolley wires until 1973. We also get to see buses from different city's like Seattle Washington, Florida, and downtown Milwaukee. Also during bus day there is the Bus Stop Shop where it's filled with public transportation memorabilia from vintage signs to artifacts from decades ago that you can buy! To close out the video we get the chance too ride a London double decker road master bus RM 1133! Come along as we take a ride on vintage buses from the past!
