Kanan – Song by Yair Dalal, accompanied by Marla Leigh on Frame Drum

During the recording sessions for Marla’s debut album, (Rhythms of Tof Miriam), Yair Dalal joined as a guest artist. Spontaneously, Marla asked if he’d like to create an improvised track, and this beautiful song was born. Though the track wasn’t included on the official album, it was preserved in this special live video.

The song is set in 10 beats, subdivided as 3 + 2 + 2 + 3, following the traditional Samai Thaqil rhythm.
