Mozart's String Duo No. 1 in G major for violin and viola, K. 423, is a significant composition in the classical music repertoire. It was written during the summer of 1783 during a visit to Salzburg. This piece was one of two duos (the other being K. 424) that Mozart composed to complete a set of six for the Archbishop Colloredo. The task was originally assigned to his friend Michael Haydn, but due to illness, Haydn was only able to complete four of them.

5:27 - 2. Adagio - This movement is in C major and is written in 3/4 time.
8:47 - 3. Rondeau. Allegro - This is the final movement of the piece.
