Voron Trident Premium Purple Plastic Eater Build (Part 3: DYZE Design Print Head!) MJF Parts

In this video series follow along while I built a Voron Trident with new parts and modifications that I've designed. Each episode will contain something new that I will be offering to the Voron community for these core XY high speed printing machines!

In this episode, I assemble the print head / tool head with the newly designed MultiJet Fusion printed parts for the ‪@DYZEDESIGN‬ Extruder Pro and Hot End Pro kit. Thank you so much to DYZE for their contribution to this project with this high quality kit!

I have designed the typically FDM 3D printed functional parts to now be manufactured using multi-jet fusion 3D printing process. This means that the typical limitations and weak points of FDM printing are eliminated. The once two piece parts are now solid single piece parts with isotropic properties and very high precision. This is the closest to injection molded part quality and strength that you will get for these plastic parts! The material is nylon-12 so you can expect excellent strength and resilience.

In this video I also show the tool head PCB I designed to clean up the hotend wiring. Similar to the Voron hartk design, it uses a 14 pin Microfit 3.0 connector to bring in all of the connections from the mainboard. I am using a 14 conductor IGUS chainflex cable to ensure that it is compatible with the IGUS energy chain that the cable will eventually reside in.

Be sure to get a set of the crimpers used for all of the connector terminals that I used in this video. They work great for both the JST and Microfit terminals. Because you can crimp the insulator and bare wire portion of the terminals individually, you can mix and match the crimping dies to any style terminal you need. Highly recommended!
