today's video is of #smithroadconstruction and the second and final layer of paving (roughly 2in of blacktop)
if you saw the previous paving video (here is the link to that video- • ~~PAVING a ROAD~~{MODERN road CONSTRUCTION... ). they paved about a 1/4mi or road...about half mile total in 2 directions. that was done with normal dump trucks.
in this video, Granite construction (who has been doing this entire Smith road construction project) used belly dumps to pave about 1 mile of road (both directions total) using belly dump trucks....which also includes an extra piece of machinery that you will see in front of the paver that eats the windrows of asphalt and puts it on a hopper....onto a belt...and into the paver...onto the road.

I wish i got more video of them coming back on the other side of the road (the next day) but I sadly missed out on filming the rest.
