Buckle up, Sweetheart! We're all set up at Criffel View Caravan Site, and there's an epic walk to Sweetheart Abbey ahead of us. We take a stroll with Tess and ponder what to do about the weather - stick or twist?
The next morning, it's brekkie a la Dave, where our taste buds may cause some heated debate - but not quite as heated as that bacon! Nevertheless, it's a thumbs up from Val and off we go. Despite some stumbles, we enjoy the march to Sweetheart Abbey...
...Only to find it's been covered in scaffolding for years. But no mind! It's a beautiful sight, and it even leads us to a graveyard that dates back more than 300 years. Next we find a hidden gem of a church, where we find a most magnificent bell! But can Val contain herself?
You'll even see some menacing cows, Dave getting nostalgic about his school Latin, and Tess the trip-hazard hound!
