Svetlana Cheraud was born in Siberia in 1993. On cold days, which were frequent, she painted landscapes, still life’s, and portraits in her small former Soviet town

On her visits to her sister in South East France, Svetlana fell in love with the bright sunlit landscape in Drôme. Deciding to leave monochrome snowbound Siberia behind she settled in the picturesque town of Valence in 2017. Having always been a lover of vivid color, Svetlana developed her take on Pop Art portraiture, with character, emotion and feeling becoming paramount in her work at this time. Brightness and humor are primarily Svetlana’s way of expressing her love for the world.
