Spondylosis refers to degenerative changes in the spine such as bone spurs and degenerating intervertebral discs between the vertebrae.
Although both the conditions i.e Spondylitis and spondylosis have an effect on the spine differences are there. While Spondylitis has an inflammatory effect on the spine, spondylosis has a degenerative effect. The former is characterized by an inflammation of the joints between vertebrae while the latter one shows degeneration of the intervertebral disc and also spine which shows the formation of bony spurs.
