Firewire Neutrino Review | First Surf Impressions
My first surf on the Firewire Tomo Neutrino — Daniel Thomson’s latest Modern Planing Hull design in I-Bolic 2.0 tech.
Inspired by the Nano, the Neutrino features Tomo’s quad-in-single concave, ultra-parallel rails, and wide chop tail, combining them into a performance hybrid that feels like a skateboard for the ocean.
In small waves, it grovels and generates easy speed, while in heavier surf, it held strong, felt drivey, and gave me a ton of confidence. I’ll break down how it paddles, its speed, hold, and stability — plus how it feels as a thruster vs. 2+1 setup.
