Ep5. Exploring Onomichi & Tomonoura, Ponyo Town from Studio Ghibli, Ramen day, Yakuza come alive

How are you doing?
This video is about our activities when we stayed at Onomichi. We visited Tomonoura which is the inspiration behond Ponyo on the Cliff by the sea by Studio Ghibli. It is a beautiful old fishing town.

Landmark of Tomonoura is Joyato lighthouse which was build during Edo period. Near there, we found a cafe to have our lunch. We got ourself Japanese italian fusion. 🤤👍

We also visited Fukuzenji. The scenery is so beautiful. Fukuzenji temple offers a magnificent scenery of the nearby uninhabited Bentenjima Island, Sensujima Island, and Nunakuma Shrine. I recommend everyone to visit the temple if you are visiting Tomonoura. The entrance fee is 200 yens but it is worth it.

After exploring Tomonoura, we went to Hiroshima. I know it is a bit far but we wanted to utilise our JR pass. We visited Pokemon center and bought a unique bath bomb there 🤣😅. We also had oysters 🦪 😋

On the second day, we explored Onomichi. If you play Yakuza 6 game, a lot of scenes will look familiar. Can you spot them?

We took mt Senkoji ropeway. So grateful that there is a ropeway. We went up with it 🚠 and went down by foot.

On that day we were crazy over Onomichi Ramen so we had 2 from different stores. 🤣
