Professor Noah Giansiracusa is an Associate Professor of Mathematics at Bentley University and a Visiting Scholar at Harvard’s Berkman Klein Center. He is the author of How Algorithms Create and Prevent Fake News and Robin Hood Math: Take Control of the Algorithms That Run Your Life. Noah writes and speaks about how algorithms shape information ecosystems and practical steps people can use to understand and push back against algorithmic influence.
In this podcast, Prof. Alex Grech and Prof. Noah Giansiracusa explore how algorithms are reshaping our social world and why strengthening skills such as mathematical literacy may be an overlooked part of the solution. They unpack how AI companies use catchy marketing language to expand their influence, discuss the economics driving today’s digital platforms, and reflect on the value of choosing to do certain things ourselves, even when AI could do them for us.
He has appeared at previous 3CL summit events. See earlier talks here: • Noah Giansiracusa from Bentley University ...
