🫀 Topic: Unstable Angina — A Clinical Diagnosis
“Unstable Angina is essentially a clinical diagnosis, based on the story the patient tells you — the character of pain, its frequency, and the change from baseline. 📋
If there’s any element of doubt — say, the ECG is nondiagnostic, or troponins are borderline — don’t rush to label it as ‘non-cardiac’.
👉 Call it ‘Probable Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS)’ until proven otherwise.
Remember, at the bedside, your clinical judgment comes first — investigations only confirm what your mind has already suspected.
🎯 Never underestimate a patient’s history — it’s still the most sensitive test for Unstable Angina!
