Gunstar Heroes (Sega Master System) Stage 4

Gunstar Heroes on western packaging in Japan, is an action shooter developed by Treasure for the M2, and later ported by Sega to the Sega Master System. In Japan, the game Sega Genesis and Sega Game Gear received a sequel but also a spinoff trilogy with character Randar as protagonist; these have been Mega Drive-exclusive.

The two twins must prevent the evil empire from rampaging on their home planet, Gunstar-9, which their ancestors defended for many generations in a row. A nasty Red Colonel, similar to M. Bison from Street Fighter, kidnapped your Green Brother, forcing you to save him.
A powerful empire has learned that there are several gems that can revive an even more powerful robotic monster named Golden Silver, which will put an end to all living things.
As an initiate, you, as a protector, must prevent these precious stones from falling into the wrong hands.

The Crystals serve no purpose other than to make you spend a lot of money after defeating bosses. They don't do anything until the very end of the game, so if you have other aims for your cash, feel free to wait on these.
