Timber Mountain Log Ride is a famous log flume at Knott's Berry Farm designed by Bud Hurlbut and manufactured by Arrow Dynamics in 1969. In 2013, TMLR received a major overhaul and restoration giving the ride a fresh, new appearance while preserving the classic charm.
A fun fact about this ride: TMLR is equipped with sensors that can "detect" when one is standing up. If one stands up (or even raises their hands) the sensor will go off telling you to "SIDDOWN!" These sensors are located on the top of the first lift (Saw mill), the first cave drop, and on the final lift.
DISCLAIMER: No riders were standing up on this ride, just raising arms and waving, producing a "stuttering" effect :)
