Joe Jonas expressed support for ex Taylor Swift’s latest album, The Life of a Showgirl. In a recent interview with Esquire alongside his brothers, Jonas, 36, admitted he’s only heard parts of Swift’s 12th record but praised her as “the biggest artist out there” and highlighted the album’s catchy melodies. Swift, 35, announced the project in August while appearing on fiancé Travis Kelce’s podcast, describing working with producers Max Martin and Shellback on the songs as “catching lightning in a bottle.” She shared that the record reflects a joyful, dramatic, and effervescent phase of her life.
While Kelce called the songs “bangers,” some fans had mixed reactions when the album dropped on October 3. Swift addressed this on Apple Music, welcoming the varied opinions and joking about “the chaos,” noting that listeners’ personal experiences influence how they connect with her music.
Jonas and Swift briefly dated in 2008, a relationship that inspired some of her early hits, including “Forever and Always” and “Better Than Revenge.” The Jonas Brothers also released a breakup track, Much Better. Over the years, the exes have reconciled; Jonas expressed in 2023 that he’s “cool with Taylor,” and Swift hinted at moving on from past grievances in her 2020 song Invisible String. Both have since focused on their families, with Jonas and Sophie Turner welcoming children and Swift finalizing her divorce in 2024.
