Learning the History of the NHL is important for fans, especially with the Seattle Kraken joining the NHL there are a lot of new fans joining as well. knowing the history of hockey can help bring context and appreciation for what is happening today. I never liked history class, but when its about something actually fun its not so bad! Here is part 2 of the history of hockey and the start of the NHL. From 3 teams to 10 and back to 6 and rule changes galore the first era of the NHL was a wild one. Most people think of the original 6 when talking about the start of the NHL, but there were over 2 decades of craziness before then.
