Showing a rare Japanese Yairi made nylon string Lowden S5FN (laminated mahogany and cedar) from the end of the production years, in late 1985. Originally fitted with a bridge-integral piezo pickup using passive tone and volume controls, as with a previous example I owned in the early 2000s this has been disabled, though left glued-in with its wires cut. I have put a B-Band dual source UST and microphone in instead and put neat little plastic hole plugs where the controls had been removed. Aquila Nylgut Alabastro Superior Tension strings, DADgbe tuning.
