Chinese Steamed Rice Cakes - Traditional Healthy Snack From FuJian

INGREDIENTS
--For soaking the rice
Rice, 500 g
Water, 700 ml
For mixture
All-purpose flour, 150 g
Yeast, 5 g
Sugar, 60 g
-- Beat in a blender
Soaked rice
300 ml water
Instructions
1. Soak the rice for at least 3 hours
2. Add rice and water to a blender, beat into a pulp.
3. Stir in the all-purpose flour, yeast, and sugar, mix well.
4. Cover and let it rest for 40 minutes.
5. Brush the oil on the bowls, then add the rice pulp
6. Arrange to a steamer, cover and let them rest for 10 minutes before steaming.
7. Steam for 30 minutes
8. The cakes are ready.
How to eat
Serve warm or cool to room temperature, pair with soup, congee etc.
