The Tata Curvv is not going to be a great pick for newer drivers, here are three things to keep in mind.

First, the confidence level in the Curvv for newer drivers will be great because of the 5-star crash test rating but also because you sit high up and you get a commanding view of the road ahead.

Second, the catch with the Curve are its automatic transmissions, which aren't easy to recommend for newer drivers because they aren't smooth enough, they aren't quick enough, they aren't quiet enough. They won't help put newer drivers at ease in traffic conditions. Our recommendation will be to pick the manuals instead.

Third, living with the manuals will bring some challenges, like with the new Hyperion turbo petrol engine, the clutch can feel a bit heavy and the bite is high. But because of the torqueyness of the engine, you won't have to make too many gear changes but you will have to get used to the clutch because more often than not, you'll end up stalling it in slow traffic.
